Being a mid size saloon the BMW 5 Series features a decent size boot with a 530-litre capacity, which is 10 litres more than the previous model. This is on par with many rivals in this saloon class, but the Mercedes E-Class pips it to the post with 540 litres. However, what do these numbers actually mean in a practical sense?
