I had honestly never given a thought to any version of a Corolla since the dearly departed, RWD, AE86 variant, but maybe now is time to change that. The Corolla XRS was an unmarketed version of the econobox featuring the sky-high revving 2ZZ 1.8L engine shared with the Lotus Elise and a manual gearbox! With a redline in the neighborhood of 8,000 RPM and three pedals, this thing is surprisingly fun
